jdub: the bunny not the myth

What is GNOME?

GNOME is a desktop environment and developer platform for Unix and Linux systems. Here, you can learn more about GNOME as a whole, get involved in GNOME software development, or participate in email discussion lists and news forums.

Developers

Novell and the GNOME Foundation have organized a software development bounty hunt, awarding prizes to individuals or teams who solve selected desktop software problems. The contest is intended to improve integration of disparate pieces of the desktop, and to encourage new programmers to get involved in the GNOME project. Learn more at the main contest page.

Documentation

The GNOME documentation page has up-to-date manuals for using GNOME, plus information on accessibility and system administration. For information about developing software with the GNOME platform, visit the developer docs page.

The GNOME Foundation

Now is a good time to say thanks for the best desktop environment on the planet by becoming a Friend of GNOME or by increasing your current level of sponsorship. All contributions are tax-deductible in the U.S. Thank you for being a Friend of GNOME.
